How to make Sydney Studymate an online home for international students

A study of 200 international students in Australia indicates that 2/3 of these international students have problems of loneliness and/or isolation, which are related to cultural differences and language barrier.
Also, according to my own and my friends’ experiences, accommodation and transportation fees are pushing international students on the edge of personal financial crises.
We will relate our content to these issues to help international students tackle their problems. We will present them in a combination of various media forms
  • Features: 3 in-depth reports on the accommodation problem, current life of international students and visa policies. Useful information is available at the Department of Immigration and Citizenship website
  • Reviews and Column Pieces: Create an original guide for entertainment around Sydney, such as reviews of restaurants, bars and pubs etc.
  • Images: Check-in maps to illustrate the locations of places which we mention in our reviews, such as the picture below. It illustrates the location of Meet Fresh in City, which sells yummy Chinese desserts:

  •
Colourful images of international students’ activities.
    •  Event Calendar: Inform and promote local and international events held in    Sydney, encouraging international students to engage in Australian culture.
I think Timeout's event calendar is a good template!
    •         Video: A welcome video and an investigative video of international students’ life to visually and intimately communicate with them.
Check this video called 'Life at International House  Sydney' from Youtube, an interesting example.
